This article demonstrates how to trigger an SOS on the Bivy satellite device.
- Hold the Bivy satellite device vertically with a broad, direct line of sight to the sky.

Monitor the “Signal” light towards the top corner of the stick. A solid green "Signal" light indicates a strong satellite signal. A flashing green "Signal" light indicates that the device is attempting to obtain a GPS location. A flashing yellow "Signal" light indicates a weak signal and a flashing red "Signal" light indicates no signal.
- Lift the red tab located at the bottom of the Bivy satellite device.
- Press and firmly hold the SOS button until the status light stops flashing. This can take up to 10 seconds.
- You may need to find an object, such as a key or pen, to press the button. You should hear and feel the button when it is pressed.
- After the SOS is triggered, the status light will flash red.
