# What permissions do I enable for WorkerSafety Pro?

## WorkerSafety Pro only asks for permissions that are required for the app to function properly. Please refer to the instructions below to learn more about allowing these permissions.

### Required Permissions

Please tap Always Allow, OK, or Allow for all requested permissions. This ensures that WorkerSafety Pro runs properly.

#### Location

***Important****: Your location is only shared in the event of an emergency. Location permission access is required for the app to function properly. Enabling location correctly will ensure that you can be found during an emergency.*

Tap on the plus icon next to “Access Your Location” to allow the first permission.

Tap on “Allow While Using App”.

WorkerSafety Pro **requires** location access set to “Always” in order for the app to function properly and keep you safe.

Setting location access to “Always” does not happen during initial set up of the app. We will instruct you how to do this.

#### **Correcting location settings**

You may see a notification that looks like the examples below. If you do see these notifications, please select “Change to Always Allow” or “Always Allow”.

If you did not select either of those options when these notifications appeared, that is ok. Please proceed with the following instructions.

To manually correct the location permission in settings follow the steps below:

- Go to the device's settings app

- Select Apps
- Find and select "WorkerSafety Pro"

- Choose location

- Select "Always" or "Always Allow"

- Make sure that the switch for "Precise Location" at the bottom is turned on

#### **Motion & Fitness Data**

*In order to access fall detection or worker down, please select “OK”.*

#### Notifications

*Select “Allow” so that WorkerSafety Pro can send you notifications.*

#### Crash Detection

*If you would like to allow WorkerSafety Pro to create an alarm if a crash is detected from an iPhone (14 or newer), tap “Inform WorkerSafety Pro”.*

#### Permissions Setup Complete

*Once all permissions have been approved, your screen should look like this example. Now tap “Continue”.*

#### Sample Emergency Check-In

Once you have entered the home screen of the app you may see an orange banner at the top of the screen that says "Sample Emergency Check-in". This is just a sample and will not notify anyone. Please tap on the orange banner and then tap "I'm OK".
